PLAZA GRILLE,

Plaza Grille has a full-flavored European ambiance, complete with al fresco dining on DePasquale Square. A popular spot for breakfast, the restaurant also shines at dinner, starting with the appetizers. Two tempting selections are butternut squash with toasted pine nuts and sage buttercream ($6.95), and grilled ostrich with wild mushrooms and sun-dried cranberries ($8.95). A marker board lists the evening's entrees, which on the night we visited ranged from a hearty full rack of lamb ($19.95) to a lighter fettucine with grilled shrimp ($17.95). Portions are enormous, and sharing is encouraged. (Bring your own bottle.)
